Please Don’t Take Away My Tomatoes

June 11th, 2008

I am addicted to foods that involve tomatoes including ketchup, salsa, and pico de gallo. Recently, with all the news stories about deaths and sicknesses from the bacteria of tomatoes I have to rethink my love for the red veggie. Ok, I am done thinking. I still love my tomatoes and will be cautious but keep eating them.

If you shop at Kroger, Target, or local stores such as Wal-Mart you may notice your tomatoes may be missing mostly if they are missing a vine. It may be too late in the year to start your tomato garden but you can try. You might even have to bring your own tomatoes to dine out or eat a hamburger.  You may still indulge in cherry, vine, or home-grown varieties.

If you would like to read about the FDA alerts on the Roma and Red Plum and Round Red Tomatoes then check out their official website for information on the salmonellosis outbreak .

I hope they find out the source of the salmonella bacteria. I want my tomatoes back soon.

I love good, quality food.

Doesn’t everyone love to eat?  I mean there is one thing we all have in common and its good, tasteful food.  We all do not have the quality party in common though.  Some people will chow down on anything and everything.  Some will chow down on quantity, but skip out on the quality.  I am more about the quality.

The Allfoodblog.com will take a look at foods that are good tasting, high quality, and of course cover the bad ones.  We will look at drinks as well… maybe even some alcoholic beverages to be on the wild side some.  We will look into many of the foods you can buy to take home from the grocery store and foods you can get from fast foods chains.

The dine-in restaurants cannot hide from us we will be looking into them as well.  This is the food and dining blog you should bookmark for updates on what tastes good and is hopefully good for you.
